Cooperation Agreement Brinkman Colombia, CoopCacao (Cooperativa Multiactiva de Cacaoteros del Departamento de Arauca), de Produccion y Comercializacion de Arauquita) have signed a framework partnership agreement. The Cooperatives are the primary operators for the cacao sector in Arauca, representing 12% of total cacao production in the region.

Through domestic commercialization growth and export markets, CoopCacao aims to include several municipal associations they already have alliances with, significantly increasing capacity and the number of families that will positively impact.

There are 720-member cacao producers in the two Cooperatives, plus 1100 non-member producers commercializing through them. Together, they hold around 6370 hectares under production, with an average of 3.5ha per producer.
